Ford is Known by many to be a American Manufacturer that makes family cars. Few know that this blue Oval is also famous for building retro muscle cars like the mustang and Ferrari beater ford GT.

With the recent Cost cutting Japanese makers catching up in sales Ford has had to cut jobs and slash many models. Ford GT has been one of the models the be slashed unfortunately.

For $150,000 car 1032 units in 2005 was a pretty modest figure. The GT then known as the GT40 went on the beat Ferrari in its own game in 1966 for the first time and then went on to take the crown in 1967-1968 and 1969.

But now time for some good news. Have you ever heard of the famed car tuners Shelby? They are the ones who make powerful mustangs and the cobra cars.

Ford has asked Shelby to manufacture Shelby gt500 to fill up the gap left open by the demist of Ford Gt. Lets hope Ford gets the sales registers roaring and doesn't go down as a legend in the books of history.
